With the establishment of the institution in 1997, the Department of Economics was set up. The faculty in the department has the talent and dedication to achieve academic excellence and has been consistently producing good result at the University Examinations. 

The Department of Economics comprises of four dedicated faculty members whose effort has been to improve and excel in academics and related activities. It is the faculty’s responsibility to adhere to the affiliating University’s mandated syllabus. It also enhances the basic knowledge of economic theory and its applicability in the practical sense. The faculty of the department regularly participate and attend various seminars, webinars, workshops, conferences and guest lectures within and outside the college. It also organized various programmes such as exposure trip, special lectures, student seminar, parent-teacher meetings and many other.
